Limehome advances its sustainability journey through transparent reporting and low-emission operations

Limehome Sustainability Report
  • First sustainability report prepared with reference to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), including a full carbon footprint in accordance to the GHG protocol
  • Digitalized operations help achieve emissions 50% below European benchmark per guest night

Munich, 22 January 2026 – Limehome, Europe’s leading tech-enabled operator of functional design apartments, has published its first Sustainability Report. The report was prepared voluntarily and in line with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), well ahead of the mandatory Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Full carbon footprint disclosed
With this publication, Limehome discloses a complete calculation of its 2022 CO₂ footprint across all three scopes (1, 2 and 3):

  • Scope 1: 441 t CO₂e
  • Scope 2: 1,089 t CO₂e
  • Scope 3: 7,363 t CO₂e

On average, operational emissions per guest night amount to 6.33 kg COe, positioning Limehome almost 50% below the European benchmark. The fully digitalized business model significantly contributes to emission reduction and shows how technological efficiency and sustainable business practices can go hand in hand.

“Limehome is efficient by design, and this naturally supports our commitment to sustainability. Yet our ambition goes far beyond operational excellence – we strive to set a benchmark for our industry. That is why we are voluntarily publishing a Sustainability Report with reference to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), ensuring transparency and alignment with established best practices.” says Josef Vollmayr, Co-Founder and Co-CEO at Limehome.
